Say! This Feels Pretty Good!

To celebrate Stan Lee’s recent 90th birthday, name a memorable moment from a Stan Lee-written comic book and our artists will provide their interpretation of the scene. Spidey catching the burglar? The Fantastic Four meeting Galactus? There are plenty of legendary moments to go around!

Twitter follower B_Granderson suggested: the Thing as Blackbeard.

The Human Fly NOW!

From The Line It Is Drawn Week 121:

As the new year begins, I think of fresh starts, like perhaps a brand-new #1! So suggest lesser-known Marvel characters that you’d like to see be given the Marvel Now treatment and our artists will work up a cover of their first issue.

Twitter follower dc2omniverse suggested: Human Fly.  I have an affinity for the character, mostly because I recall my friend Bradford defending the character back when we were teenagers.  I still think this version might have potential.

Amazing work by the other Liners that week, check the first link to check it all out.

Kind Of OK Comics #043

Rex Tarkleton came shambling back into my life yesterday, looking like a heap of bricks.  He said he's been busy being on the lam after town got too hot for him.  He remains the main suspect in a cheese factory robbery wherein 500 lbs. of sharp cheddar wheels were pilfered.  He said that his unrelated business of becoming a legitimate cheese monger in Northwest New Jersey this past year had gone belly up after his cheddar supply was shot up, obviously the target of misdirected retaliation from a victimized cheese factory owner.  It's best not delve too deep into Mr. Tarkleton's doings, I did, however, purchase this latest comic from him, oddly enough drawn on a wedge of cheese.

Enjoy.

Action John Dee

In honor of Fred Van Lente Day, we’ll tie in with Fred Van Lente’s upcoming project, Action Presidents, by having out artists do “Action” versions of other historical figures (not Presidents or Philosophers, of course). You suggest a historical figure and our artists will come up with an “Action” design for them (like how Plato was a wrestler, so the great Ryan Dunlavey designed him as a big masked wrestler)

Follower on Twitter, dc2omniverse, suggested: Action John Dee.  John Dee was an interesting figure in history and after boning up on him a bit more, giving it a Dr. Strange/Mike Mignola treatment seemed like a natural inclination.  This also was a celebration in honoring The Line It Is Drawn artist Nick Perks for 100 consecutive weeks of posting pieces; he's included in the crystal ball there.

Check out other great "Action Figures in History" by the talented Liners in the first link.

Li'l Superheroes

From The Line It Is Drawn week 118:

Based on a suggestion from somebody (repeated by Axel Medellin), pick a comic book character that you’d like to see a “Lil’” version of (like Lil’ Archie, Hellboy Jr. or all of those Skottie Young covers)

Suggested via Twitter by both JaronHataway and therealAstrozac : Li’l Darkseid and the New Gods.  I also spotted a MODOK suggestion from Kholdstare21 and did that as well!
