A Is For...

Here's a sketch for the piece I'm doing for Mr. O's birthday present. I've been racking my brain trying to come up with A words that aren't too complicated or conceptual. ABC books are harder than I thought. If I keep going at this rate, the O-Man shall get the whole the alphabet illustrated by his 28th birthday. Oh, and Mustache Max is in it, too.

Mustache Max And Perishable Percival In The Lemonade Conundrum Cover

Here's the cover to the first Mustache Max book I'm working on. Just like me to try and do a finished cover before writing the book...

More Mustache Max

I've been playing around with Max and Percy and not sure if I have got the look down I'm looking for. I've also been working out some storylines in my head and trying to figure out these characters' deals. Mustache Max is an adventurer who owns a Victorian house, complete with a telescope observatory, that is situated on a craggy peak above town. The Mayor of town often calls upon Max to help on this case or that case, which Max, aided by Percival, is always happy to lend a hand. Max flies both a biplane and a dirigible named "The Wondrous Windbag", however on his downtime he enjoys sitting in the parlor sipping lemonade with Percival. He might even have a manservant named Cromwell, but I'm thinking he would not even be necessary. Whatever. I'm figuring this out and would love to actually see Max in a series of children's books, but that comes later. Bully.

Mustache Max

New idea I'm working out, in crayon apparently. Thinking of a children's book, if that's still fashionable.
