I wonder if it's something to do with drawing more kid-friendly stuff, but you've inadvertently caught "Dagan-itis", where nothing touches anything else!
That's different from "DagON-itis", where everyone you touch turns into a sort of reptile-creature, spawn of the Ancient Ones. Don't get that. ;)
