Sins Of My Father

The last Tom Waits I do for 2011.  I love him, but hopefully 2012 is free of Waits portraits.

Christmas Card From A Hooker In Minneapolis

One of the last images I was working on, on a Tuesday, on the bus, before it went all Tom Waits on me...

The Piano Has Been Drinking...Not Me

Hey, found this little sketchy doodle at the ol' work computer. I was talking to a buddy of mine years ago about animating Tom Wait's song "The piano has been drinking", but never had the time to do it. I quickly drew this last year and sent it along to him. To my surprise, the next time I saw his desktop, this drawing was on it. Cool beans.

Anyway, the tune is just begging to be a kooky cartoon and someday we will make it. I would also like to do a revised, tighter drawing of this piece, paying a bit more attention to the caricature of Waits. He has a great face (and voice to match, natch). Well, off to pound whiskey and chain smoke some butts...
