Figure Drawing Again And It Feels Real Good
I am trying to take advantage of some of the figure drawing sessions available to me in the area. The above drawing was done today at the Newport Art Museum, which occurs every Saturday morning and overseen by the talented Newport artist, Bill Heydt. On Tuesday night, there is another session at AS220 that I try to attend regularly. It is a bit of a trip to Providence from Newport via RIPTA's famed 60 line, but at least you ride in style and meet interesting hoboes along the inflated timeline of the ride.
More drawings to come as I plan to go a bit more regularly nowadays and am finally getting back in the drawing-from-life groove, however I'm still feeling rusty. More cartoons and funny crap too. Oh and MODOK...

Laserfist Johnson
Here's an idea I had a while ago and figured I'd post it since I never bothered to pitch it anywhere. "When evil raises its ugly head, only one man can stop it.... with a laser-like precision knuckle sandwich!" Laserfist Johnson is a retired super spy with a plasmatic prosthetic hand for the organization GLOBE, who reluctantly returns to the field after Dr. Destructo returns to wreak havoc on the world. After being coupled with an inexperienced junior agent (who is also the boss' daughter) and a civilian wizkid who tagged along, Laserfist Johnson tries to keep the trio out of peril while also trying to save the world in this action/comedy animated series.
Who knows? Maybe I'll work it out a bit more now that it's 2 years later...
