Announcing Tolerable Tales Of The Adequate #1
I printed up a mini-comic of a comic I had started for a 24-hour comics event a couple years ago for sale at the Annex Psychic Fair and Art Expo. Come on down tomorrow and check us out.
Issue one is 24 pages, 5.5" x 8.5". One hundred issues were printed. Stay tuned for the next one.

24-Hour Comic Book 2011: Page 24
The final page! It took 872,462 hours to complete, but here is my 24 hour comic. A lot of thanks to Wayne at Annex Comics for hosting the original 24 hour comic day in October and for supporting local artists with Saturday drawing club.

24 Hour Comic 2011: Page Twenty-Three
Page twenty-three ends Bigfoot Jones' saga, "Damn These Shoes", with a reappearance by Bowery Bill! Last page of the... ahem... 24-hour comic project next week!

24 Hour Comic 2011: Page Twenty-Two
Damn these shoes! Bigfoot Jones' efforts are for naught as our journey winds down. Two more pages to go!

24-Hour Comic 2011: Page Nineteen
Page nineteen has Bigfoot Jones finally making it to the shoe store, but will returning his ill-fitted shoes be as easy as it seems?

24 Hour Comic 2011: Page Seventeen
The "24-hour-comic-that-is-not-24-hours-but-much-more-time-than-that' comic continues with Bigfoot Jones running into the law on page seventeen. Oh dear. Seven more pages to go, which I hope to finish by the end of the year.

24 Hour Comic 2011: Page Eleven
Page eleven. Incidentally, this post is the 100th post of 2011. Shortly, after 5 years of blogging, I will be posting this blog's 500th post. Hooray.

24 Hour Comic 2011: Page Nine
Page nine. I did this after the 24 hour project ended, but I'd like to finish the comic all the way through the twenty-four pages as quickly as possible, in the same style. I guess this is what Scott McCloud would call a noble failure, a la Kevin Eastman:
The 24 hours are continuous. You can take a nap, but the clock keeps ticking. If you get to 24 hours and you're not done, either end it there ("the Gaiman Variation") or keep going until you're done ("the Eastman Variation"). I consider both of these "Noble Failure" Variants and true 24 hour comics in spirit; but you must sincerely intend to do the 24 pages in 24 hours at the outset.--B
